Operations & governance·Live contract
PRTN contract and architecture
$PRTN has launched as the infrastructure token layer underlying the Protean scientific network. This page documents the live contract identity and the boundary between the deployed token, the scientific runtime, and future alignment mechanisms.
$PRTN exists. Contract address: 0x8070B5e222f1EC077845e46CEd2267E0DeF4cBA3. The Protean/Galen scientific runtime does not require token ownership to run; this page documents contract identity and architecture boundaries, not assay validation or scientific claims.
What this surface is
Protean's network alignment thesis is straightforward: economic gravity follows scientific infrastructure, not token spectacle. The runtime produces reviewable scientific state. Galen coordinates workflow verification, policy surfaces, and review-gate telemetry. Collections organise candidates, hypotheses, papers, assay readiness, and provenance into coherent research surfaces. The provenance layer makes selected collection state independently verifiable while private science stays protected. $PRTN is the live token layer positioned underneath that public-safe coordination surface.

Several adjacent mechanisms remain studied as future design areas. The token exists; the mechanisms below are not automatically implied by the contract address and should not be described as live unless separately implemented and reviewed.
- ACE-style ecosystem-exchange structures (token warrants, equity-exchange mechanisms, SAFE-style instruments, comparable counsel-reviewed vehicles)
- collection-linked participation structures
- programmable research financing
- programmable coordination infrastructure
- provenance-aware participation systems
- tokenized attestation systems
- ecosystem participation programs
These references preserve optionality around the live token layer. They are not adopted mechanics, not current functionality, and not guarantees of rights, returns, access, or future availability.
Public-safe surfaces only
Future research can only operate on public-safe scientific state:
- reviewed collection manifests
- scientific object IDs
- full published candidate and family sequences
- sequence hashes and salted commitments
- artifact hashes
- lifecycle state
- disclosure state
- lineage
- contribution or attestation records
Private salts, selected batches, scoring internals, unreleased assay data, private manifests, unfiled IP, and provider packets remain inside the private vault. Published candidate and family sequences remain public. The publication boundary is detailed in Disclosure boundary.
What this page is not
This page is not the token contract, not terms of service, not an offering document, and not legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. The scientific runtime does not implement ACE rounds, tokenized securities, royalty systems, automatic economic participation, ownership claims over scientific output, or speculative financial mechanics. Any future mechanism would require separate documentation, public-safe state boundaries, review-gated deployment, and legal, regulatory, jurisdictional, compliance, scientific, tax, and operational review.
The current boundary is simple: $PRTN is live scientific network infrastructure; any future economic or participation pathway would be separate, specifically documented, and reviewed before use.
